Delete your Laila account

Applies to the Laila app.

From inside the app (immediate)

1. Open the You tab (your profile).
2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. If you signed in with Apple, the Apple sign-in sheet appears once more so that we can also revoke Laila's access to your Apple ID.

Deletion runs on our servers and finishes within a few seconds. You are signed out and the account cannot be recovered.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@laila-nightlife.com with the subject "Delete my Laila account" from the email address, or with the phone number, that the account uses. We will verify that the account is yours - usually by sending a code to that number or address - and delete it within 7 days, confirming by reply.

What is deleted

• Your profile, display name, gender, birth year and every optional profile field.
• All your photos: profile, posts, chat and direct messages.
• Your posts and likes, venue chat messages, direct-message conversations and their messages.
• Your friendships, presence-sharing settings and venue alerts.
• Your current check-in and your check-in history.
• Offers you redeemed, and documents you uploaded to claim a venue.
• Your push token, your Android restore credential, and the sign-in account itself (phone, Google and Apple links).

What is kept, and for how long

• Reports filed about the account, stripped of everything but the user ID, as a safety record - so that someone who was reported cannot erase the report by leaving.
• Payment records that tax and accounting law require us to keep (the store's transaction identifiers; never card details, which we never had).
• Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
• Anything we are legally required to retain for an ongoing dispute or a lawful request.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and are not cancelled by deleting the account. Cancel them in your store's subscription settings first - see Cancel a purchase.
