Child safety standards

Laila's standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Last reviewed 5 September 2026.

Who Laila is for

Laila is a nightlife app for adults. Every account holder confirms they are 18 or older when they sign up, and the app is rated for adults on the App Store and Google Play. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account, and we close accounts we discover belong to minors.

What is prohibited

We prohibit any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child. That includes, without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form; sexualised depictions or descriptions of minors; grooming, solicitation or attempts to arrange contact with a minor; sextortion; and the trafficking of minors. This applies to profile photos, posts, venue chat, direct messages, and anything else a user can upload or write in Laila. There are no exceptions, and a first violation ends the account.

How we prevent and detect it

• Every profile photo, and every photo sent in a chat or post, is screened by an automated vision model before or immediately after it appears. High-confidence violations are hidden at once and queued for human review.
• Accounts cannot post or message until their profile photo has passed screening.
• Direct messages are limited to one message until the recipient replies, which stops unsolicited contact by design.
• Reported messages, posts and profiles are reviewed by people.

How to report

From inside the app, every message, post, photo and profile has a Report action (long-press a message, or open the menu on a profile or post), and every user can be blocked from wherever they appear. Reports reach our moderation queue directly and are reviewed around the clock; child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority.

Anyone, including people who do not use Laila, can also report a concern to support@laila-nightlife.com with the subject "Child safety report".

What we do when we find it

• Remove the content and close the account immediately.
• Preserve the evidence as the law requires.
• Report confirmed CSAM to the Israel Police and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and cooperate with law enforcement requests.
• Comply with the child protection laws that apply to us, including the Israeli Penal Law's provisions on the protection of minors and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Law, and with the app stores' child-safety policies.
